It's not that we have been all that busy, being retired is nice that way. Mark has been enjoying the pool on the hot days we have been having. Me, I stay inside where it's cool. I don't like water, except in my glass with ice. Sometimes with some whiskey added. :)
Inside we made a few inexpensive changes. Our small living room is crowded and the other chair that the previous owners left was shot and very uncomfortable so out the door it went. In it's place we put the cot that Mark got, added some padding to the thin mattress, a pretty quilt, and pillows to turn the cot into a day bed. We also took down the heavy drapes to clean things up a bit as well.It makes the room look cleaner and a bit less crowded. Plus the daybed is functional for nights that Mark has a tough time sleeping. Lola thought it was for her, but when I am around she knows it's not the case. Mark on the other hand is a softy when it comes to his girls. Lola and I are both spoiled rotten.
